PENENTUAN GAYA HAMBAT UDARA PADA PELUNCURAN ROKET DENGAN SUDUT ELEVASI 65º

Abstract


 

The parametrics that be used to determine the performance of a rocket flying through the air among others is the distance range, altitude and the maximum speed by the rocket. The maximum distance range reached by RX 320 rocket at angle of elevation 65º is 45,223 Km, while the heigh and the maximum speed reached by the rocket at this elevation respectively is 17,749 Km and 2,492 Mach. In this paper will show how much influenced the speed of the rocket on rocket drag. With 65º angle of elevation, the maximum air drag force experienced by the rocket is equal to 1705,634 N and maximum rocket speed is 2,492 Mach as well as the minimum air drag force experienced by the rocket is 58,821 N and the minimum rocket speed is 1,102 Mach.
