PENENTUAN KRITERIA MATERIAL ENERGETIK BARU UNTUK PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN PELEDAK, PROPELAN, DAN MESIU

Abstract


 

This paper discusses the development of new energetic materials as explosives, propellants, and mesiu which have high energy but safe to use. New energetic materials are TNAZ, CL-20, ONC, FOX-7, and DAN. The character of energetic compounds, methods for preparation, and another aspecs are analyzed and discussed. The selection is based on the availability and price; performance, sensitivity, ease of process, compatibility, chemical and thermal stability, mechanical behavior of temperature dependent, and the rate of combustion. Based on energy values obtained, then the new compounds are discussed everything meets the criteria as a propellant, ammunition, and explosives. CL-20 has the greatest potential as a substitute for the NC because high explosive, high speed combustion, as well as high compatibility with another system. Second best potential is PETN. Sensitivity analysis and the availability of the method shows that CL-20 and PTEN has the greatest potential for development as energetic material for gunpowder, propellant, and explosives. Energetic materials for composite solid propellant is still unaccounted for material that could replace the AP.
