PENENTUAN METODE REKRISTALISASI YANG TEPAT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMURNIAN KRISTAL AMONIUM PERKLORAT (AP)

Abstract

In the process of crystallization of Ammonium Perchlorate occurs frequently inclusion-trapping impurity in the crystal. So it needs to be done refining the crystal by recrystallization. This study aims to examine some of the recrystallization metode is right for the purification of Ammonium Perchlorate in order to obtain crystals of Ammonium Perchlorate with a higher purity. Based on the dilution technique, using a single solvent is the most appropriate method, while based on the recrystallization technique, Ammonium Perchlorate can be done by spontaneous nucleation as well as by the method of seeding. Both metodes still require further research to obtain crystalline forms tend to be uniform with a size close to round. Key words:
