ANALISIS METODE PRODUKSI BUTADIENA YANG EFISIEN DITERAPKAN DI INDONESIA
Abstract
Butadiene production technology is important because butadiene is main raw material to produce synthetic rubber and elastomer. Elastomer is a material have elasticity like a rubber. Hydroxy Terminated Polybutadiene (HTPB) is Polymer based on butadiene that have high strategic for rocket propellant binder. Generally, Butadiene can be produced by three methods,
Haundry Catadiene, Philips, and Nippon Zeon Process. The raw material for produce butadiene is alcohol or butane. To compare these process are analyzed the reaction kinetic aspect, thermodynamic aspec, process production and their production machine. Eficient process is selected base on raw material available, technology, cheap, and the machine available. Base on the overall analysis (simplification process, cheap investation, raw and support material available), Haudry Catadiene process is most efficient process that can be apllied in Indonesia.
