OUTLIER ANALYSIS RAINFALL DATA BASED ON TROPICAL RAINFALL MEASURING MISSION FOR JAVA-BALI REGIONS
Abstract
The purpose of this study was determin the statistical outlier in Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) rainfall data having three hourly time resolution. Outliers in the rainfall data was defined as the rainfall data that is numerically distant from the rest of the data or is one that appears to deviate markedly from other members of the sample. The methods used in this study, to determine outliers was statistic, that are arithmetic mean value plus deviation where deviation must be greater than three standard deviation. The result showed that outliers occurs in area of 2o x 8,5o on the research region with average frequency of 1,16%. Outlier values are very typical, implies its rain formation process.
