PERBANDINGAN PERHITUNGAN TINGKAT GANGGUAN GEOMAGNET DI SEKITAR STASIUN TANGERANG

Abstract

Studies on geomagnetic disturbance level has been done i.e. in space science and oil exploration. This paper discusses about geomagnetic disturbance level using component data March and December 1996, with March, Juny, September and December 2002 from Tangerang (geomagnetic coordinate 175 point 4 degree E; 17 point 60 degree S) Station based on McPherron model and the 4th polynom model. From data processing it is obtained that both McPherron model and 4th polynom model have similar pattern. It is shown that the correlation value of them (McPherron and Polynom 4th models) which are about of 0.87 - 0.98. While the deviation value of them from observation data is about of -2.5 nT to -24.1 nT. We conclude that both 4th orde polynom and McPerron models have the same accuracy
