SINYAL AKTIVITAS MATAHARI DAN ENSO PADA POLA LIPUTAN AWAN DI INDONESIA

Abstract


We have analyzed the solar and El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) signals on cloud cover over Indonesia by using correlation and spectral analysis methods. We find correlation coefficient between Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) as an ENSO indicator and total cloud cover for monsoon, equatorial and local climate pattern are 0.8, 0.49 and 0.85 respectively. By spectral analysis we also find the solar signal with 11 years periodicity on cloud cover that investigated. The weak 11 years signal on SOI may also indicate the solar influencing on ENSO.
