PENENTUAN MODEL POLA HARI TENANG STASIUN GEOMAGNET TANGERANG MENGGUNAKAN DERET FOURIER
Abstract
Quiet day pattern depict geomagnetic variation in quiet condition and this condition can be used to determine the geomagnetic field disturbance level. The quiet day pattern generally shows the daily magnetic variation, but if viewed in micro case, the daily variation pattern the small fluctuations that appeared must be eliminated. In this paper, we discussed determination of the quiet day pattern model using Fourier series with considering the impact of the solar diurnal variation and the moon semi diurnal variation, each of them with 24 and 12 hours period. By using this model, the geomagnetic disturbance level both local and regional can be determined from residual between data and model release. The data which used in this research is H component from Tangerang geomagnetic observatory. From analysis results of the H component quiet day pattern model in January 2002 we obtained that the error of hourly geomagnetic disturbance level is about of 11.35 nT or if implied in percentage is about of 4.5 percent, and it maximum fluctuation is -74 nT.
