Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission

1. Originality and Publication Status:

  • Manuscripts must be original and clearly define the objectives, materials used (data), methods applied, and results.
  • Submissions should not have been previously published, offered for publication, or under consideration elsewhere.

2. Language and Formatting:

  • Manuscripts must be written in English.
  • Use single line spacing on single-sided A4 size paper.
  • Margins should be 2.5 cm on all sides.

3. Figures and Captions:

  • Original versions of figures must be embedded within the paper with their captions.
  • Figures should be in TIFF or JPEG format with high resolution (300 or 600 dpi).

4. References:

  • References in the text should follow the APA (American Psychological Association) reference style.

Manuscript Preparation

1. Title:

  • The title should be concise, informative, and not exceed 15 words.

2. Author Information:

  • Author name(s) and affiliation(s) should be included in the footnotes on the title page.

3. Abstract and Keywords:

  • The abstract should summarize the paper, including a brief introduction, objectives, method, and principal conclusions, and not exceed 250 words.
  • Include 3 to 5 relevant keywords. Avoid sub-headings in the abstract.

4. Materials and Methods:

  • Describe the experiment clearly and concisely, providing enough detail for independent replication.

5. Results:

  • Present results with clarity, avoiding unnecessary detail.
  • Use figures or tables (not both) for presentation, with a consistent font size. Number tables consecutively in Arabic numerals.

6. Discussion:

  • Discuss significant findings and relevant aspects of the research. Avoid repeating material and methodology.

7. Citation:

  • Use in-text citations in the APA format: Field et al. (1996) or (Field et al., 1996). For references with more than two authors, use “et al.”

8. Conclusion:

  •  Provide a concise conclusion that addresses the objectives.

9. Acknowledgments:

  •  Keep acknowledgments brief (less than 40 words).

10. References Format:

  • List references alphabetically and format them in APA style, e.g., Field, C.B., Behrenfeld, M.J., Randerson, J.T., & Falkowski, P. (1998). Primary production of the biosphere: integrating terrestrial and oceanic components. Science, 281(5374), 237-240.

11. Acronyms and Abbreviations:

  •  Define acronyms or uncommon abbreviations at their first mention. Avoid new abbreviations unless necessary.

12. Species Names:

  • Provide the Latin name and family along with the common name of the species at first mention. Use only the common name in subsequent mentions.

13. Units of Measurement:

  • Use the International Standard unit system (kg, m, s, etc.) for all measurements.

Maps and Geospatial Data

1. Accuracy and Source:

  • All maps included in the manuscript must accurately represent the data and geographical details they intend to show.
  • The source of the map data (e.g., satellite imagery, GIS data) must be cited.

2. Resolution and Scale:

  • Maps should be of high resolution and appropriately scaled to ensure clarity and legibility.
  • The scale of the map must be indicated.

3. Legibility and Annotation:

  • Maps must be legible with clear annotations. This includes labels, legends, and keys.
  • Ensure that font size, symbols, and color contrasts used in maps are easily readable and interpretable.

4. Geospatial Metadata:

  • Include relevant geospatial metadata such as the coordinate system, projection information, datum, and date of data acquisition.

5. Ethical and Legal Compliance:

  • Authors must ensure that the use of maps and related geospatial data complies with ethical standards and legal requirements, including copyright laws and data sensitivity issues.
  • If maps contain sensitive or restricted information, authors must obtain and provide the necessary permissions for publication.

6. Map Modifications:

  • Any modifications made to existing maps or geospatial data (e.g., overlays, adjustments) must be clearly described and justified in the manuscript.

7. Digital Files:

  • If applicable, provide digital files or links to the geospatial data or maps in a commonly used format (e.g., .shp for GIS data) for review and reproduction purposes.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Manuscript Formatting

    The manuscript is prepared in Microsoft Word or LaTeX format, following the journal's template and style guidelines.Text is double-spaced, uses a 12-point font, and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  2. Title Page and Authorship

    A separate title page includes the title, authors' names, affiliations, and contact information.Contributions of all authors are clearly stated, and all authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

  3. Abstract and Keywords

    The manuscript includes an abstract summarizing the key points of the work in 250 words or less.4-6 relevant keywords are provided for indexing purposes.

  4. Text Compliance

    The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

  5. References and Citations

    References are complete, formatted according to the journal’s citation style, and cited in the text. Any use of information from other sources is properly cited to avoid plagiarism.

  6. Figures and Tables

    All figures and tables are cited in the text and have captions. Images are of sufficient resolution and quality for publication.

  7. Ethical Compliance

    If the study involves human or animal subjects, necessary ethical approvals have been obtained. Any potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed in the submission.

  8. Supplementary Materials

    Any supplementary materials (datasets, software, etc.) are included and properly formatted.

  9. Author Agreement

    Authors agree to the journal's policies on access and licensing.

  10. Review and Submission

    The manuscript has been proofread for spelling and grammar.The submission file is in an editable file format (e.g., Word or LaTeX).

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Publication: 750000.00 (IDR)

At IJReSES, we maintain a transparent fee structure for our authors. Here's a detailed breakdown of all potential fees from submission to publication:

  • Submission Fees: None. There are no fees for submitting a manuscript to IJReSES.
  • Editorial Processing Charges: None. IJReSES does not charge any editorial processing fees for the review and processing of submitted manuscripts.
  • Article Processing Charges (APCs): IDR 750,000. This fee is applicable only if your paper is accepted for publication. The APC is used to cover the publication costs, ensuring the sustainability of the journal.
  • Page Charges: None. IJReSES does not impose any additional charges based on the length of the manuscript.
  • Colour Charges:Charge: None. There are no additional fees for the inclusion of color figures or images in manuscripts.

IJReSES is committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent the publication of high-quality research. Authors who do not have the funds to cover the APC are encouraged to apply for a fee waiver. Our fee waiver policy is designed to support authors in need, and we encourage you to contact the editorial office for more information on the application process.
