PENGEMBANGAN MODEL KOREKSI GEOMETRI ORTHO LANDSAT UNTUK PEMETAAN PENUTUP LAHAN WILAYAH INDONESIA
Abstract
Currently, the standard product of Landsat imagery is tending to 1T level or ortho corrected product and the terrain data called Digital Elevation Model (DEM) was used in the geometric correction process. The level 1T Landsat data product has a better geometric accuracy with less then one pixel accuracy, so that the time series analysis could be done. This research developed an ortho correction model of Landsat imagery that leads to a consistent algoritm, standard result and documentation. The developed model leads to the automatic process and consistent methodology in using control points for the geometric correction. The model consists of 3 (three) steps; automatic selecting control points, control point quality checking and result simulation quality, and ortho geometric correction process. The automatic methodology hase been done for control points generation, using the point prediction and the point matching technique. While the used point matching technique is ‘image correlation’. The image correlation parameter utilized are channel 5 of Landsat data, 11x11 pixels size window, and correlation threshold of 0.85. By using the above model every process becomes so measurable, reportable, and verifiable that the resulted information from the image data as the land cover information of entire Indonesia becomes better.
