KAJIAN TEKNOLOGI PROSES PEMBUATAN TOLUEN DIISOSIANAT

Abstract

It is done the study of process technology in preparing a Toluene Diisocyanate (TDI). TDI is propellant hardener which can be made of some stages. The finally stage is thermal decomposition Toluene Dicarbamate (TDC) to yield TDI. Process of thermal decomposition TDC is conducted in 150

ºC-280ºC in vacuum with or without catalyst  and heat carrier. The mixture of solvent or single can be applied. From the study conducted by researcher which maybe adopted immediately is Wang et all method. This is concluded based on process completion and raw material ready in market.
