Abstract
An important parameter to understand the ionosphere layer is electron density. Many tools are used to derive the value of the electron density and give description of the electron density in the ionosphere region. Besides ionosonde and various others such as radar, radar MF (Medium Frequency), radar VHF (Very High Frequency), MWR (Meteor Wind Radar), and EAR (Equatorial Atmosphere Radar), there is another important tool to study ionospheric region, namely satellite receiver GPS/TEC meter. As the name implies, this GPS satellite receiver can provide information about the total of electron content along a straight line between the transmitter and receiver. This paper presents a step-by-step data processing Total Electron Content (TEC), particularly from stations belonging to the Scripps Orbit and Permanent Array Center (SOPAC) research project, including the Sumatran GPS Array (SuGAr) network. The result can be used to determine the density of the ionosphere region or for further research on the characteristics of the ionosphere layers are both theoretical and modeling. Keywords: TEC, Sumatran GPS Array (SuGAr) network, ionosphere region
