Abstract

The solar magnetic helicity obey the helicity rule. Negative helicity dominates in the northern hemisphere, and positive helicity dominates in the southern part. The magnetic helicity does not agree with the 11 or 22-year solar cycles. In strong flares, the helicity patches that disagreed with the hemispheric sign rule show significant changes around the flare time, while in the weak flares, such change is not observed succesfully.
